How do I perform a Brand/Manufacturer/Category Search?
  1. Select Brand/Manufacturer/Category from the Search By drop-down menu.

  2. Select the desired Brand/Manufacturer/Category from the Search Criteria drop-down menu.

  3. Click Search. There will be an alphabetical listing by product name of all images available for that manufacturer. (The date is when the image was added to FreeAdImages.com.)

  4. Click on the UPC directly to the left of the desired product’s name. All of the images with the available formats for that product will be shown.

  5. Download image(s). See instructions in Download Image Section below.



How do I perform a UPC Search?
  1. Select UPC from the Search By drop-down menu.

  2. Enter the 12 digit or 14 digit UPC in the Search Criteria box. If you enter a 12 digit UPC it will be automatically converted to a 14 digit UPC.

  3. Click Search. All of the images with the available formats for that product will be shown.

  4. Download image(s). See instructions in Download Image Section below.



How do I perform a Logo Search?
  1. Select Logo from the Search By drop-down menu.

  2. Click Search. There will be an alphabetical listing by name of all company logos available.

  3. Click on the desired Logo name. All of the available formats for that logo will be displayed.

  4. Download image(s). See instructions in Download Image Section below.



What does it mean when there is an Alternate Image?
  • An "Alternate Image" message appears when we have an image in our database but it does not meet all the specifications of a FreeAdImages.com image.

  • Most "Alternate Images" are high-quality 72 DPI Jpeg.



How do I Troubleshoot Searches?
  • Try entering the old UPC if product has recently had a UPC change.

  • UPCs must contain 12 or 14 digits.

  • If the manufacturer has not placed an order for the product to be imaged, it will not be in the FreeAdImages.com database.



What are the View Specifications?

Front: Shot at a 10°-camera tilt angle, 0°-product angle

Left Angle: Shot at a 10°-camera tilt angle, product angled 30° to the left

Right Angle: Shot at a 10°-camera tilt angle, product angled 30° to the right

Side: Shot at 0° camera tilt angle, 90°-product angle (Vendor determines which side to shoot)

Back: Shot at 0°-camera tilt angle, 180°-product angle

Top: Shot at 0°-camera tilt angle, 0°-product angle

Glamour: Variable

Alternate Packaging: When two different packaging formats use the same UPC, Gladson Interactive will define the main packaging and the alternate packaging. (i.e. 24 case of soda (Main) and a fridge pack of soda (Alternate). The front, side, top, back, left and right angle specifications define the camera and product angles.



What are the Background (Backdrop) Specifications?

White: 100% Bright white

Grey: 50% Black

Black: 100% Black

Blue: Pantone 660c<

Specialty: Wood, cork, marble, etc…

GreyScale: The image is greyscale, not color (RGB).



What are the File Format Specifications?

TIFF: 300 dpi, RGB, Depth-24 bit, Image Compression-None, Byte Order-Macintosh. Max. 48mb

PhotoShop EPS: 300 dpi, RGB, Depth-24 bit, Preview-Macintosh (JPEG) Encoding-Binary Include Halftone Include transfer function, Max. 48mb (Optional: Clipping Path - Flatness of device pixels left blank for printer specifications)

Illustrator EPS (For Logos Only): RGB or CMYK, No Max. file size

Jpeg: 300 dpi, RGB, Depth-24 bit, Quality-12 (Maximum), Format Options-Baseline("Standard"), Max. 6mb (Optional: Clipping Path - Flatness of device pixels left blank for printer specifications)

BMP: 300 dpi, RGB, File Format - Windows, Depth-24 bit, Max. 48mb

PCX: 300 dpi, RGB, Depth-24 bit, Max. 36mb

GIF: 300 dpi, Colors-256 Index, Palette-Local (Selective) Forced, Palette-None, Dither-Diffusion Amount-75%, Max. 7mb (Optional: Transparency set to Background color)

Pict: 300 dpi, RGB, Resolution-32 bits/pixel, Compression-None, Max. 38mb

Png: 300 dpi, RGB, Depth-24 bit Non-interlaced, Max. 10mb



How do I Download an Image?

Windows Users:

  1. Right click on the desired format under the image wanted, and select Save Target As . . .

  2. Follow instructions to download FreeAdImages.com image.

Macintosh Users:

  1. Hold the mouse button down on the desired format under the image wanted for about one second until a pop-up menu appears. Select Download link to disk.

  2. Follow instructions to download FreeAdImages.com image.

The program is designed to download only one image at a time. Due to the size of image files, this process could take several minutes.
